It was four years ago today that Kate Middleton and Prince William got married, and I can't decide whether that seems like way too long ago or no time at all ago, but either way it doesn't seem right! It's simultaneously hard to believe that there was ever a time when Kate and Wills weren't married, and that it's already been four years since the Royal Wedding. (Must always be capitalized, by British decree... aka because I say so.) I'm either way older than I thought, or I haven't aged a day (and I'd love if someone could help me figure out which as soon as you have a second).
But, in the meantime, let's stroll back down memory lane to 2011, the year when it all began. Actually, I guess technically it all began in 2010, when they got engaged, or even all the way back in 2001, when they met — WHO KNOWS. Either way, it was a simpler time, before we knew the full potential of the world. Back then, William and Harry were just two single prince dudes across the Atlantic. Oh, how the times have changed.
But we've lived and learned and loved in the four years since their marriage, and discovered a whole world of things we never knew were possible before they made it official. And here they are now!
That Fairytales Really Do Come True
A normal like you really can marry a Prince! Just like you read about in your fairy tales!
That You Could Wake Up At 3 AM Just To Watch The Royal Wedding On TV
And yet your body still struggles to crawl out of bed at 7 AM for work.
That Your Sister's Butt Could Upstage You At Your Own Wedding
Pippa on fleek.
That There Could Be A Power Couple Without A Nickname
I don't know how you do things over in foggy old England, but over here we like to embarrass ourselves with monikers like TomKat, Brangelina, Bennifer, and Kimye. But I guess just "Kate and Wills" is fine... if you want to hang onto your dignity.
How Quickly We Could Move Our Crushes Over To Prince Harry
Blink and you missed it.
That We Could Care So Much About A Person Four Whole Steps From The Throne
You know I'm talking about Prince George. Dude can't even talk yet, and we're already obsessed.
That We Could Care So Much About A Person Who Hasn't Even Been Born Yet
Second verse, same as the first, a little bit younger and a little bit... further from the throne. And six days late, to boot! But we still care about those sweet little British babies — and indeed about this whole sweet British family — no matter how hard we try not to!
