On January 23, the smallest of the six Gap Inc. sister companies, according to E!, announced it will close, after about a decade of business. The store in New York has already been closed, and the online site is closing April 30. Until then, you can shop everything on the site up to 70 percent off, using the code "GOODBYE," which is sadly appropriate.

I've loved Piperlime since it launched in 2006 as an online shoe store, and feel for the e-retailer even harder once it grew to offer many higher-end clothes and accessories. The site even featured Rachel Zoe and Olivia Palermo as guest editors at one time, so its closing is definitely a blow to the fashion industry.

After Piperlime's major closing sale, you can use your Piperlime gift cards at the additional five Gap Inc. sister companies, and are able to return your Piperlime items online, but cannot exchange pieces.
