What If Damon & Rosalie Got Hitched?

Twihards and The Vampire Diaries fanatics rejoice! Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder are officially hitched! I'd say it's a bloody gorgeous match. The duo have been inseparable for nearly a year now and they got engaged this past January. And they aren't just a stunning pair to look at, apparently they also have a ton in common. The 26-year-old Twilight alum and the 36-year-old Vampire Diaries star reportedly had their guests donate to their favorite animal rescue charity in lieu of gifts. According to People, Reed said: "What's nurtured this long friendship we've had is that we are passionate about similar things."

But I'm not the only one gushing over the couple, Somerhalder's Vampire Diaries co-star Kat Graham said of the pair: "They literally are perfect — from their Humane Society work together to them wanting to make the world a better place... it's really exciting when you see two people come together that are amazing." Aww!

Though Reed and Somerhalder were married in Malibu, California and adorned in all-white, it got me thinking about their more vampy alter-egos. If Damon Salvatore and Rosalie Hale tied the knot, I'm sure things would look a lot darker. Here is what their immortal wedding might look like.

The Guest List

It would probably be best if Rosalie's ex-love Emmett skipped these nuptials. Too many volatile vampires in one place seems like a disaster waiting to happen. The rest of the Cullen clan would certainly be on the list though, and Renesmee would be Rosalie's Maid of Honor. Damon's friends and frenemies from Mystic Falls would be in attendance. (Probably not Klaus though.) Clearly his brother Stefan be his Best Man because, who doesn't want to see the Salvatore brothers waiting for them at the end of the aisle. Needless to say, the Volturi will not be receiving invites.

Location

As homey as Mystic Falls is, I'm not convinced the town would be able to accommodate another influx of vampires and paranormal creatures. Exotic locations could prove troublesome because, I doubt daylight rings can be forged for every vampire traveling to the wedding. And as I previously stated, there is always the Volturi to be fearful of. It seems then, that the most logical location would be Forks, Washington. Both Damon and Rosalie are brooding and dark, so I think the perfect place for their ceremony would be the woods near the Cullen's home at twilight.

The Dress

The dress has always been on of my favorite parts about weddings. Though Nikki Reed wore a stunning white lace fishtail gown in real life; Rosalie's pale skin and blonde hair would probably be washed out in such a light color. Instead, I could definitely see her rocking crimson on her wedding day, with a red lip. The bold color would be an ode to love, danger, and of course... blood.

Vows

In the world of vampires, a true death would be extremely difficult to come by. I think that Damon and Rosalie promising one another a century or so together should be more than sufficient. Obviously, spending a lifetime together seems optimistic. (I mean, just think about it, what if they each decide they want to try again with Elena and Emmett.)

Reception

Blood would obviously be flowing freely; a blood fountain would be a fantastic addition to the reception's decor. For the werewolves in attendance, something heartier like steaks and potatoes would be served. There would be an open bar with the finest dark liquor (Vampire's seem to be drawn to Brandy, Whiskey and Bourbon much more so then their clear counterparts). Catfish and the Bottlemen would provide the musical entertainment to the field of guests. However, the focal point at the soiree would be the cake. A dark chocolate cake with strawberry filling, covered in butter cream. After all, what is a wedding without the cake?

Honeymoon

Italy is a romantic location; a perfect place to begin a marriage. Provided Damon and Rosalie stay away from the Volturi's home in Volterra; their daylight rings would mean that they would have free range over the rest of the country. The Ruins in Rome would be perfect places for the newlyweds to site see.

Though Damon Salvatore and Rosalie Hale are fictional characters, it's super fun to imagine what their wedding may look like. Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder's actual wedding looked gorgeous; they looks so thrilled and in love. As Somerhalder tweeted, it really did look like "the most beautiful morning ever."
