Although "Nerd Prom" is known for letting the non-models and non-fashion icons of the world shine (save for a gaggle of celebs), that did not stop them from inviting supermodels like Karlie Kloss, who attended the White House Correspondents' Dinner in a long, beaded gray gown. She looked absolutely beautiful, as expected. Kloss always manages to look gorgeous, whether it be on the runway, in fashion ads, or plain 'ol selfies with bestie T-Swift. But tonight, the former VS Secret Angel took it to the next level.
Piecing together a bun, fresh-faced makeup, and gold earrings, Kloss was the epitome of sophistication and elegance, all wrapped in one. The supermodel's silver-gray gown was the perfect ensemble for the event — fashionable, yet understated. Kloss was noticeably late for the big event (she posted an Instagram photo revealing that she arrived in D.C. only two hours before the dinner), so we're sure she had to literally throw this look together. It may not be one of her most dolled-up looks and she may not have had a bunch of time to get ready, but it's one of my most favorite looks of hers yet!
With NYU in the fall and multiple projects coming her way, how does one possibly look this good with such a crazy schedule? Karlie, please tell me your ways.
Earlier this year, it was announced that Karlie will be leaving Victoria's Secret this year to focus on other projects and her attendance at NYU. Even though she won't be strutting the runway with wings anymore, The Model of the Year tells People: “I’ll still be working full-time. I’m incredibly ambitious and have lots of goals within my career that I’m not slowing down on anytime soon.”
Well, if turning in her wings means more time for her to show up at red carpets like this, that's totally fine by me!
