5 Reasons Why Elsa Hosk Has Earned Her VS Wings

Fashion rumor has it that a new Angel has her wings. Elsa Hosk is the new Victoria's Secret Angel, according to STYLE. While her IMG agency hasn't confirmed it, all signs are pointing to yes. The 26-year-old Hosk is replacing Karlie Kloss' coveted spot, and now joins Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Behati Prinsloo, Candice Swanepoel, and Lily Aldridge in the flock of VS beauties.

1. She knows the ropes

Elsa has been a working model since she was 14, and one of her earliest modeling gigs was an advertising campaign for Guess. She's strutted for runway shows for luxe brands like Christian Dior, Giambattista Valli, and Oscar de la Renta. Hosk has also modeled for H&M, CoverGirl Cosmetics, and Barneys' advertising campaigns.

2. She's sporty like Gigi Hadid

We know Gigi grew up athletic, and likes to stay fit by kickboxing. Positive body image isn't a problem for her, and probably not one for Elsa, either. Before modeling, Elsa played professional basketball for the Swedish Women's basketball league. Obviously, she knows how to balance health and fitness with work, travel, and modeling lingerie for a living.

3. She's charitable like Karlie Kloss

Elsa is involved with an organization called FAIR girls, an anti-human-trafficking organization that helps women and young girls though education and empowerment. With Elsa's big promotion, she'll undoubtedly be able to use her platform to promote causes she cares about.

4. She's named after a Disney Princess

OK, this may not be a transferable skill to this particular job title, but it's still pretty cool. Little girls everywhere are already looking up to all things "Elsa" since the newest Disney princess flick, Frozen. They can add Elsa Hosk to their list of cool girls to look up to. I mean, a professional basketball player, model, and charitable giver? C'mon.

5. She's earned it

Elsa has earned her wings after years of working for the brand. She's been a brand ambassador for Victoria's Secret Pink for two consecutive years, and has walked many a catwalks for VS. Hosk received the prestigious 'Contract Angel' title from VS last year. Clearly, the coveted wings are her next step in supermodel stardom.
