The Oscar-nominated actress is officially a first-time mom! That's right, according to E! News, Keira Knightley welcomed her first child with husband James Righton. While E! News says the story is confirmed, we're still waiting to officially hear from the new parents, especially when it comes to learning whether the couple had a baby boy or girl.
In December, reports surfaced that The Imitation Game actress was pregnant with her first child. Then, Knightley's rep confirmed the news to Elle UK. The publication wrote at the time, "We just got off the phone with her rep, who happily admitted the rumors were true, but also said that Keira will not be making any further comment.”
The actress remained somewhat tight-lipped about her pregnancy, but that didn't stop Ellen DeGeneres from trying to figure out the baby's sex. At the time, the actress didn't know if she was having a boy or a girl, but she was concerned about having a boy. Why? As Knightley explained, "Somebody said to me the other day, the problem with boys is — sorry, this is horrible — but when you’re changing their nappies, you can get the wee in your face… I never knew that before, so it was terrifying."
She also expressed that while pregnant her husband decided it was best to drink for both of them. She told the talk show host, "My husband’s having a great time. I’m eating for two and he’s drinking for two. There’s a lot of free champagne, so he thinks because I’m not drinking the free champagne, he has to. So, all of it."
Well, now the two can both enjoy some champagne in celebration of their latest addition. Congrats to both Knightley and Righton!
