DJ & Kimmy Are Still BFFs In Real Life

After months (and maybe even years) of speculation, it's official: A Full House spinoff is coming to Netflix. What a time to be alive! As John Stamos announced on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday night, Fuller House — which is due to stream sometime in 2016 — puts a grown up DJ in Danny's position as a recent widow who moves in with her sister Stephanie and obnoxious BFF Kimmy (who's raising a rebellious teen of her own), so they can help her raise her sons. How perfect is that? It's even more perfect when you consider the fact that Candace Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber are best friends in real life, too. Yep, the friendship between DJ and Kimmy is real, and it has lived on since the show ended in 1995.

And in case you can't wait until 2016 to see DJ and Kimmy back in action again, don't worry — you don't have to. Bure and Barber often flaunt their friendship all over Instagram, and it's a beautiful thing. I'm so glad that we live in a world where the stars of my favorite childhood sitcoms not only grow up to be best friends, but can also share their love for each other all over social media for my little '90s television loving heart to fall in love with every time I check my feed.
