Well, this is a sickeningly sweet birthday surprise. According to E! Online, while celebrating her 28th birthday this weekend in New York City, rapper/producer Future proposed to longtime girlfriend Ciara with a 15-carat ring that is probably beautiful and worth more than most peoples' houses.
"Today Has 2 Be Like One Of The Sweetest Days Of My Life! #TheBestBirthdayEver," Ciara tweeted yesterday after the engagement, followed by the equally adorable, "If I'm Dreaming I Don't Want To Wake Up..Aaaaaahhh!!!:)"
Future, full name Nayvadius D. Wilburn, and Ciara have been dating for about a year, and he talked about their relationship in Jan. 2013 during an interview with Atlanta's Posterchild J-1:
She’s a beautiful woman, amazing, incredible, everything that comes with those words, that’s what she represents. I can tell you, all the negativity that comes with me and her is not true. Our personal lives is our personal lives. Sometimes people present it like it’s true and they think they have facts, but at the end of the day, we know what’s true and we know what’s not true and anything negative from that situation, we [are] not even representing that. What you see is what you get.
We are at a time where, I am on Epic, she’s on Epic, I love music, she loves music. And we love being in the studio with each other. We love being around each other and that’s just what it is. The chemistry is there. It’s amazing. She makes me happy, I make her smile.
The two also collaborated on Ciara's most recent, self-titled album, which was released in July 2013. There are reportedly no plans for a wedding date just yet. Congrats!
