Did Nicki's Mani Overshadow Her Engagement Ring?

Looks like your heart-shaped engagement ring isn't so unique anymore, Lady Gaga. Nicki Minaj is officially engaged to Meek Mill, the man she’s been rumored to be dating since February. Mill gave Minaj a 15-carat yellow heart-shaped diamond ring, which cost an estimated $500,000—yet I can’t stop staring at Minaj’s multicolored mani. Each brightly colored nail is impeccably done and I’m having some serious manicure envy. It’s taking all of my will power not to run to a nail salon right now.

Let’s first start with the trendy almond shape. I’m going to go out on a limb here and assume that Minaj’s nails are fake, which obviously makes it 10 times easier to maintain such an exaggerated shape. If you’re not a fan of acrylic nails, you’ll have to have some extremely strong nails to keep them filed into an almond shape and not break. I’m not personally capable of having long nails, so I’ll have to pass on the shape, but I can definitely get behind the over-the-top designs.

Nicki’s manicure is so eye-catching because of the bright colors, diamond accents and different designs on each finger—they literally distract you from the 15-carat diamond ring on her finger.
