'Beauty And The Beast' Cast's First Photo Is Cute
Is there anyone out there who isn't excited about Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast? Ever since it was announced that Emma Watson is playing Belle in Beauty and the Beast, I've been pacing my room waiting for the movie to finally come out. It hasn't even finished casting yet, and I still spend half my time scouring the Internet for fresh information about the film. This definitely counts as fresh. On Tuesday, Josh Gad posted the first photo of the live-action Beauty and the Beast cast. Oh, sure, Ian McKellen — who was recently cast as Cogsworth in the film — is missing from the picture, and nor is he the only member of the cast missing, but the adorably dorky photo still comes with an even more adorably dorky story to go with it.
The photograph features Gad, Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, and Kevin Kline. None of them are in costume, but all of them represent the portion of the cast who aren't portraying enchanted furniture in the movie. Sadly, that means Emma Thompson and Gugu Mbatha-Raw were also missing from the photo, which was posted with the caption, "Can't wait for you to be our guest." I'm sure that Gad was talking to the fans with that message, but the story doesn't end there. It just gets even cuter.
After posting the photo, he got onto Twitter and released the same message to the world. It didn't take long for Sir Ian McKellen to get in on the fun, replying to Gad's tweet with a sweet, "Me too!"
You hear that guys? Gad, Watson, Stevens, Evans, and Kline can't wait for us to be their guest, and neither can McKellen. It would have been more effective to me if the message had been accompanied with an epic song and dance number from the cast, but I suppose they might want to save all that for when the filming starts. All I can say is, the cast already seems like they're having a good time with the Disney film that defined the childhood of so many people, and that's all we can really ask for at the moment.
