The MTV Movie Awards red carpet is never one to disappoint fans of both celebrities and fashion, and this year appears to be no different so far! Bai Ling's dragon dress was one of the first to appear, and man, did that thing ever catch our attention— how could it not?
The inevitable comparison for Bai Ling's frock is the infamous swan dress worn by the fabulously fearless Bjork back at the 2001 Oscars. Bjork's dress, imagined by Macedonian designer Marjan Pejoski, caused quite a stir and has spawned a multitude of parodies as well as a call to have the dress on display at the MoMa. Dresses clearly have the ability to remain with us for the long haul— J.Lo and that infamous Versace emerald dress, anyone?— and like Bjork's swan ensemble, Bai Ling's dress seems like it may stand the test of time.
I'm going to go ahead and call Bai Ling's dragon dress as the most memorable ensemble of the night. Whether it's listed as one of the worst or most daring will be up to you. However, there's no way you can't give kudos to the actress for bringing the excitement to the carpet, and hey, maybe she's just gearing up for the Game of Thrones premiere later?
