See Beyonce's Blue Wedding Day Nails
I'm sure y'all have seen the images of the American Royal Wedding that have finally, finally, finally, been released, but if you haven't heard: in celebration of their seven (!) year anniversary, Jay-Z posted a video montage of his wedding to Beyonce, allowing us plebs to get a glimpse of Queen Bey's wedding gown (creamy sweetheart perfection), it was the bride's something blue that really popped. PEOPLE StyleWatch reported on the bright, cobalt polish Beyonce rocked down the aisle and it's got me thinking that unconventional manis are as overdue as those wedding photos.
Bridal blush or beige? Wayyy too safe for Beyonce, who opted for a pop of blue that took center stage when Jay-Z slipped that megawatt ring on her finger. A little crazy for a wedding day, yes, but would you expect anything else from your favorite fashion chameleon?
In the real world (aka not a multi-million dollar celebrity wedding), blue polish is a hit for spring, livening up your digits after a winter of dark plum and grey shades. Plus, the shade just so happens to look awesome on a wide variety of skin tones. Take a gander at the baby blues and sexy sapphire nail polishes below. It's time for mani that matches the springtime sky.
Tiffany Blue
This soft periwinkle is dainty enough for teatime, and edgy enough that it'll remind you that you don't drink tea. (butter London, Petticoat)
Classic Colbalt
An Essie cult-fave that'll have your fingers channeling Beyonce's (minus the 18 carat ring, of course). (Essie, Mesmerized)
Bright Blue
A hot, vivid shade to help melt that winter frost. (OPI, No Room for Blues)
Denim
Slightly muted, but still uniquely bold and a little retro. (Deborah Lippmann, I Know What Boys Like)
Cloud
The lightest of them all, this butter London polish is reminiscent of the soft, fluffy clouds of springtime picnics. (butter London, Kip)
Glitter, Glitter, Everywhere
A turquoise polish with a shock of shimmer (Forever 21, Turquoise Glitter)
Blue-Green
Another Deborah Lippmann shade that adds a touch of green and tons of sparkle. (Deborah Lippmann, Mermaid's Eyes)
Aqua
An oceanic shade to match the blue Caribbean Sea... (UNT Nail Lacquer, Gypsy's Secret)
