Growing up in the '90s, it was impossible to get enough of every teen movie that was ever produced. Whether it was a romantic comedy or a horror movie, I made sure to see every movie starring the hottest young actors of the day. Yes, that included She's All That starring Freddie Prinze Jr. and Rachael Leigh Cook. So, when it was announced on Tuesday that a She's All That remake might be happening, well, I was not happy, to say the least. Of course, I also couldn't help but wonder how the original cast felt about this news. Thankfully, Freddie Prinze Jr. responded to She's All That remake rumors, so I no longer have to wonder what Zack Siler thinks of the news (though you know he probably showcased his feelings using a hacky sack).
FYI, according to a BuzzFeed News reporter, the She's All That remake is not happening. On Wednesday, the reporter tweeted, "The Weinstein Co. and Miramax say there is no deal for a #ShesAllThat reboot." However, that still doesn't mean it isn't or won't happen at some point.
Now, back to Zack Siler's response. Prinze Jr. remained positive about the idea. Plus, he even joked about it. In his first tweet to a fan who was not happy about the news (no, it wasn't me), he posted the following:
See? He didn't slam the reboot or anything. He's true in saying that it's tough out there for writers. Good for you, Freddie, for being all perfect and positive. Then, another passionate fan tweeted that there would only ever be one Zack Siler — duh. Prinze Jr. responded as follows:
Ha! What a jokeseter, but, still, a remake is not OK. Seriously, what other actor could pull off an interpretive hacky sack number, wear a volleyball while naked, clean pools, and make some bully eat pubes convincingly? The answer is no one.
