Lupita Nyong'o Has Never Looked Better
Lupita Nyong'o is our dream girl, for sure. Now, she's stealing our hearts again in her new Harper's Bazaar cover. The 12 Years A Slave actress and Oscar winner has captured our fashion-filled hearts ever since she wore her gorgeous Cinderella-eque dress for her Oscar debut. She usually dresses in beautifully soft, feminine looks, but occasionally, she throws us a fashion curve ball. This spread is neither familiar or funky, but instead perfectly on-point for spring and summer.
Nyong'o is sporting her usual adorably short pixie on the cover. In the spread, the color palette is a sultry, spicy red that is reminiscent of Pantone's earthy color of the year, Marsala. She dons a light, airy fringed getup (that I'm obsessed with) and a beaded, patterned tunic. It's all very "resort wear," and considering how hard she works and all she's accomplished, she's probably due for a vacation.
The spread was shot in King's Cross warehouse, according to Harper's Bazaar. In the pictures, Nyong'o is dancing and smiling and looking as charming as ever. While this spread is gorgeous and the textures are to die for, I still don't believe anything can top the pearl-covered gown.
Her makeup is equally beautiful and natural, which fits considering she's the brand ambassador for Lancome.
Lupita, you are lovely. We are not worthy.
