Rih's BFF Melissa Ford Designed Cute Bucket Hats

Summer will be here before you know it, so it's just the right time to shop for pieces that are not only fashionable, but will also protect you from the sun's harmful rays. How perfect, then, are these Rihanna-approved bucket hats designed by Melissa Forde? As one of Rih's best friends, an avid photographer, and a notable presence on Instagram, Forde definitely knows a thing or two about millenial style. But her inspiration for designing the M$$xWT line of bucket hats simply came from wanting to find a hat that fits her small head.

"I just really knew what I wanted and I had a really great team," she told Racked. "Everything I said to them they were able to execute perfectly. I feel like it shouldn't have been this easy, but it was." The M$$xWT hat line is a collaboration between Forde and rapper Wale's company Wrking Title, which also appointed her as its creative director. Forde celebrated the launch of the M$$xWT bucket hats Monday night at the Opening Ceremony store in New York, where her pal Rihanna — fresh off the star-studded Tidal press conference — even dropped by to show her support.

These uber-trendy bucket hats come in three designs: Pineapple Print, Black Beauty, and Rasta Print, priced at $55 each. They are exclusively sold at Opening Ceremony stores in New York and Los Angeles, openingceremony.com, and wrkingtitle.com.
