'DWTS' Judge Just Made A Super Sexist Remark

by Martha Sorren

While I don't think she's a super great dancer, I also don't think model Charlotte McKinney deserves the bullying she's experienced on Dancing With the Stars. Last week the show addressed some of the hurtful comments that have been thrown her way since she started the competition, and then this week judge Bruno Tonioli made a super sexist remark about Charlotte McKinney.

While critiquing her Latin Night dance, he took it upon himself to also critique his perception of her intelligence. "You are never going to win the Nobel Prize for quantum physics, but you are easy on the eyes," he said to kick off his comments. Immediately his fellow judge Carrie Ann Inaba called him out on his sexist comment. "Come on, we're not judging that," she said in a disappointed tone.

Poor Charlotte looked horrified. It's one thing to have fans of the show troll you on Twitter. That's hard enough. But it's another thing entirely to essentially be called stupid but pretty by one of the judges on the show. Tonioli was so out of line with his comment, and Charlotte deserves an apology. She may not be the show's best dancer, but she has feelings and she deserves better than that. She's more than just her body, and everyone needs to recognize that—especially the judges.
