On Saturday, the world was jumpin' jumpin' thanks to Destiny's Child reuniting at the Stellar Gospel Music Awards. That's right, Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams once again joined vocal forces in Las Vegas to sing "Say Yes" together as the trio we all know and love. Not only did fans get to experience the group who brought us "Say My Name" and "Bootylicious," but they also got to see them perform some gospel tunes. Even though Destiny's Child strayed away from the classics, they proved they can do no wrong no matter the genre of music they're singing.
As you can see in the videos below, thanks to those who captured the fantastic moment on their phones and then shared via Instagram, Beyoncé, Rowland, and Williams still have it. The ladies gathered to support Williams, who was not only nominated, but even won for Video of the Year for the song "Say Yes," which she sang with her former group members.
Williams expressed on Twitter how thrilled she was for taking home an award. She also chatted with E! News and said, "When three good girlfriends are together, you're free and you don't care who's around. You're just trying to catch up and be goofy. I had a blast."
This is the second time Destiny's Child has reunited. Two years ago, the group came together at the Super Bowl for Beyoncé's halftime show, where they sang "Bootylicious," "Independent Women," and "Single Ladies" all in a matter of minutes. Of course, fans wished they could've seen more from the trio, but, hey, a little taste here and there of the girl group we still can't admire and love is better than none. Right?
The Stellar Music Awards air April 5 on TV One, where we can finally see Destiny's Child's full performance.
