Who's Hooked Up With Who On 'Grey's'?

There are a lot of things the doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital could get fired for, but I'm willing to bet the constant chain of attending surgeons hooking up with their interns is at the top of the list. Over the past 10 years and 11 seasons of Grey's Anatomy, basically everybody has hooked up with everybody. There are very few secrets between the past and present employees of that hospital... mostly because everyone has seen each other naked, whether it be in the on call room or somewhere else. Not that I'm judging these people — if I worked in a hospital full of doctors as good looking as McDreamy, I'd be right along with them. But it does make things a bit confusing when you try to think back over more than a decade of hook ups, relationships, and one night stands.

This is where my handy dandy web of hookups comes in. Although it's pretty rudimentary, considering the fact that I am not a Photoshop genius and instead put my Microsoft Word skills to good use to make this happen, it is pretty comprehensive — and it includes every single main character's various hookups with their coworkers (and occasionally people from outside the hospital too).

As you can see from the chart, Meredith — despite her claim that "we screw boys like whores on tequila" — is one of the least promiscuous docs. She's only ever had serious relationships with Derek, who's now her husband, and Finn, the cute vet she dated who competed for her heart alongside Derek, and, you know, lost, because duh, it's Derek. Unsurprisingly, Mark Sloan (may he rest in peace) got around, but that's not exactly new information. Ugh. I miss him. I will never forgive Shonda Rhimes for that damn plane crash, and if it had never happened, imagine how much bigger this web would be!

Missing from my terribly awkward looking chart are Bailey and Richard, because their romantic histories are so boring that they unfortunately did not hook up with anyone else on the list. No offense, though!

And as far as I can tell, the moral of the story is this: Although the Grey's Anatomy gang is a pretty incestuous group of pals, I wouldn't have it any other way. Some people may think it's jumped the shark after 11 seasons, but I'm ready to dig in my heels for another 11, if fate swings in my favor. I'll see you with my next web in 2025!
