'Bachelor' Stars Have a Big Secret
Usually when people get engaged I'm happy for them, but in regard to this couple, I'm pissed. Not because I don't wish them well, but because I didn't even know they were dating, and when it comes to m'Bachelor alumni, I do not like to be surprised. I thought we shared everything, guys?? Anyway, I suppose congrats are in order for Bachelor stars Elizabeth Kitt and Ty Brown who were engaged on Tuesday. The two reality stars confirmed the news to Us Weekly and have been chatting about it on Twitter.
You'll remember Elizabeth as that somewhat crazy one from Bachelor Jake Pavelka's season. She kept asking Jake if he wanted to kiss her, then when he leaned in, she wouldn't, and it was pretty awkward. She can be described as very pretty and in amazing shape, but that doesn't really help when it comes to trying to discern one Bachelor cast member from the next, because they're all like that.
That said, she is very memorable from her time on the Bachelor Pad Season 1. She'd dyed her hair a terrible blonde and then basically went nuts on the show. She threatened Jesse Kovacs and basically had sex with him on the hood on a car.
Clearly, Ty Brown isn't bothered by her past (not that he should be.) You'll remember Ty from Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky's season. He was her early front runner but they eventually discovered they weren't a match. Nowadays, he's trying to launch a music career.
He and Elizabeth met last year at a charity event in L.A. and have been dating since January. They just bought a house in Nashville, Tenn. Ty proposed on their porch and according to his Bachelor buddy Craig Robinson, Ty popped the question with a diamond ring baked in a cake.
Between the news that AshLee Frazier is dating Michael Garofola and the fact that Catherine Giudici and Sean Lowe are getting married this January, love is certainly in the Bachelor air.
Hmm. Maybe that show really does help people find their lobsters.
Elizabeth shared a pic of the ring on Twitter, BTW:
