Eva Mendes Thinks Jeans Are 'Uncomfortable'

Come on Eva. Not again! First she broke the Internet when she said she didn't like sweatpants because they lead to divorce, and now she's come out to attack another one of our favorite closet staples: Eva Mendes doesn't like jeans because "they're too restrictive." Say what? What's a girl supposed to wear on lazy days without sweatpants or jeans?!

Mendes said during an interview with Who What Wear that if you see her in jeans, all of her skirts must be at the dry cleaners. Now that's some serious style dedication! There's no doubt that jeans can be fashionable, despite their casual stereotype, but Mendes also says that she thinks jeans are just "uncomfortable." Someone please get this new mom some comfortable jeans that she won't be ashamed to wear!

Without jeans, Mendes' style has been more about wearing great skirts, and she even said she wears them around her house! "It's not unrealistic to see me in an outfit like this at home [pointing to her skirt], just without the belt and the shoes," she said. "I'd wear this with a loose tee or a tank top."

Those are some fighting words about jeans, Mendes! We wonder if she'll stand by them or if she'll release another apology. Last week, Mendes posted a picture on Instagram apologizing to her sweatpants for calling them the "number one cause of divorce in America," so maybe we'll see her doing that with her favorite pair of jeans soon.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, Mendes has been spotted wearing jeans a few times before, although they were from years ago.

This is Eva from a 2005 episode of MTV's TRL. Maybe she's ditched the whole wearing jeans thing since then, but at least we know she hasn't always been hating on jeans. These are definitely not boyfriend jeans, so we're guessing she was feeling a little uncomfortable here, although we must say, they look great!

Here she is again in 2007 during the L.A. premiere for Grindhouse. This time she's in an oversized pair of jeans, which to us, looks like it's definitely on the more comfortable side.

Although we hate that she hates on our jeans, we commend the new mom on her fashion picks, even if they may not be your typical lounging clothes. Whatever makes you comfortable, Eva! Just don't judge us when we wear our sweatpants and jeans, please.
