13 Smoothie Recipes That Are Delicious, Refreshing, And Perfect For Spring
Now that the weather is warmer, it's time to work a few springtime ingredients into your usual rotation — and the easiest way to do that is with a few spring-ready smoothie recipes. I could go on and on and on and on about how relieved I am it's finally spring. No more blaming my sluggishness on the weather (but I will miss the ready-made excuse); no more canceling plans because of snow; no more spending Friday nights in because the windchill dips lower than my alcohol tolerance (who am I kidding, I'll probably still do this). Goodbye to all that, because it's finally going to warm up. And since we're thinking spring, it's probably time I started thinking about giving my sluggish, sheepish, lazy body the spring-forward reset it so desperately needs and deserves.
Without dreaming up some unattainable fitness routine (that I'll likely press snooze on and miss, anyway), or planning some impossible-to-stick-to elimination diet (let's just not, OK?), I figured the easiest way to get my body thinking "spring" and "warmth" and "oh my god I can feel my toes again!" was to pump it full of fruits and veggies. Not only would my body and mind get an added boost from all the antioxidants, vitamins, and fiber, but I'd get to slurp on something creamy and delicious without ever feeling like I'd sacrificed a thing. A win-win, if you ask me.
So behold, dear friends and eager spring wanters: the smoothie reset to end all smoothie resets; the 13 most promising, most satisfying, most oh-my-god-I-need-another smoothies to break your mind, your body, and your mental health free of its winter chains.
Want to feel ready to kick spring's ass? Drink these, and you totally will.
