If you didn't think these two were already beyond adorable, you will now. On Wednesday, Demi Lovato hosted the first annual Lovato Scholarship Benefit fundraiser in West Hollywood, where she performed for fans and raised money for her program which benefits those struggling with mental illness and addiction issues. Well, Demi Lovato's boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama her at the event, which made her night that much more special.
While standing on stage taking questions from fans, Perez Hilton asked Lovato about Valderrama. She replied, "My heart is broken that he couldn't be here tonight." Before she knew it, the former That '70s Show actor was standing behind her. Lovato couldn't help but let the tears flow, and then the two hugged and kissed in front of everyone.
Then, Valderrama took the mic and had nothing but kind words to say about his girlfriend. He said,
So I just got off a plane from Toronto. And there's like a million things to say — it's been a long time since we've seen a role model like her. It's been a long time to see somebody who has the courage to be exactly who she wants to be. And if you're going to take away anything from tonight, walk away with the understanding that, from today, life will get better.
Valderrama also led the audience in singing "Happy Birthday" to Lovato, because she recently celebrated three years of sobriety, which she calls her "third birthday." Thanks to her boyfriend, the singer was at a loss for words and told the audience, "I don't know what to say." She was overjoyed and feeling so many emotions that she went off stage for a bit.
What can we take away from this? If you're in a relationship, be as adorable, kind, and supportive of one another just like Demi and Wilmer.
