Anna Wintour's Favorite Trends From Fashion Month
After a very long month of nothing but fashion shows, runways, and street style photos, my head is spinning with a whirlwind of designer duds and newfound trends. Four weeks, four major cities, and hundreds of shows later, the madness is finally over. So what now? It's time to reflect on all the amazing, crazy, and downright bizarre fashion we have seen. But after witnessing everything from nipple bags to gold-leaf face masks, how do we know what's in and what's out? Luckily, the fashion queen herself is here to save the day. Vogue's Editor-in-Chief, Anna Wintour, dished on the hottest trends from the runways in an exclusive video with Style.com, and her insights will help us unpack everything we saw during fashion month.
According Wintour, fashion as a whole is moving away from specific, universal "trends," and more towards an age individualism and self expression. The designers she thought embodied that concept well included Chanel and Louis Vuitton. That being said, there were some common themes evident throughout the shows as a whole. These are some of Anna's favorite trends from the entire month.
Deep Rustic Colors
Victorian Romanticism
Black & White
Patchwork
I predict we'll be seeing some of these looks in upcoming issues of Vogue, so keep an eye out! Watch the full video of Anna Wintour discussing her fashion month takeaways.
