Do you develop a slight obsession and get all the cravings when its time to purchase every box of Girl Scout cookies you can get your hands on? Who doesn't? You know what would make the experience that much better? Tom Hanks selling Girl Scout cookies. Well, earlier this month, the man we all know and love as Joe Fox, Forrest Gump, and Woody helped a group of Girl Scouts sell cookies. This is not a joke or a plot for his next movie. Tom Hanks actually sold Girl Scout cookies. This man keeps on being amazing (have you seen Hanks in Carly Rae Jepsen's new music video?), and I love him for it.
Per BuzzFeed, Hanks was just strolling around Los Altos, California when he encountered a Girl Scout troop. Yes, he did buy cookies — four, to be exact. Also, he donated an extra $20, took a photo, and even helped the girls sell cookies. Because he's just so famous, people started recognizing the Oscar-winner and began asking for photos, the Los Altos Town Crier reports. Of course, Hanks responded in the best way possible by saying, “Only if you buy cookies from these young ladies.”
Who else wishes they could've experienced this moment? Me too. Me too. Even though I wasn't there to bask in the gloriousness that is Hanks and all those delicious cookies, I can still imagine what it was like.
He Was Probably Super Sweet
You know he treated those young girls with so much kindness and respect.
He Was Really Excited
It's Tom Hanks. When isn't he excited?
He Totally Did A Little Dance
This was probably his selling technique.
He Conducted His Own Taste Test
Duh. Who wouldn't sample the cookies?
He Bought Some For Rita
Let's be honest: those four boxes were for Rita and Tom to split. Two for him, and two for her.
It Was Probably Magical
This would have been one of the most magical moments to witness, and don't pretend you don't agree.
