The ever-changing actress promptly chopped her locks off to a chin-skimming blunt 'do and debuted the fabulously fresh look on her Instagram today. Vanessa Hudgens' short bob will likely be covered by a brunette wig for her latest Broadway role in Gigi, but when she isn't starring on the big stage, she'll be sporting her laid back bob with its slight off-center part and natural color.

It's a definite departure from what we're used to seeing on Hudgens, who has sported everything from dramatic ombrés to pumpkin-spice-latte-looking dye jobs. I have to say, I am loving the natural, breezy 'do for warmer months, and it makes a ton of sense for this busy jetsetter.

Hudgens usually sports longer hair, so we can almost guarantee extensions will come into play with this new cut. She never shies away from experimentation — her go-to raven hair is often interrupted with long, glossy black locks or even a short bob like she did for her role in Gimme Shelter.

While every other star seems to be going bold with color lately, it's nice to see Vanessa keeping it chill and real. Before she went platinum, Kim Kardashian chopped her hair off, too, and kept it a natural shade. This blunt natural-colored bob may be the next big trend!
