The Internet is Very Happy

by Tanya Ghahremani

There are only a few things that everyone on the Internet can collectively agree on: Ryan Gosling's abs, cats, cute puppy videos, Breaking Bad, and the awesomeness of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's mere existence. So, with the news that Fey and Poehler would be saving/hosting the Golden Globes for not one, but the next two years in a row, the Internet was absolutely delighted — and, like with most major life events, everyone took to Twitter to talk about just how much. It also helps that the duo's stint hosting the show last year was a major, major success (to everyone except Taylor Swift, anyway), so we all know what we're in for come 2014 and 2015: An amazing award show that, for the first time, might actually be appointment viewing.

Though the 2014 Golden Globes are still a while away, the general consensus seems to be that it's going to be awesome, and, perusing the "Golden Globes" tag on Twitter, it's overwhelming how positive the reactions are. There's not one negative tweet! It's only filled with exclamation marks, happy emoticons, and a bunch of people writing "yay" in all caps — in other words, it's the happiest place in the world right now. What exactly are people saying?

See that, NBC? Jut hire Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to host everything from now on. Literally no one will object to that decision.
