Every Kardashian Hairstyle Ever, Ranked
The roster of Kardashian hairstyles is ridiculously long, and it seems like they're constantly stepping out with brand new looks (Kendall's lob! Kylie's teal tips! Khloe's ombre!). With Kim's recent platinum blonde (and back to brown) hair adventures, I'm starting to think that the family has truly left no 'do un-did. I'm thinking so hard about it in fact, that I've recently been reliving every hair trend that the clan has tried in the past few decades and -- well, you get it. We've all been down that road, right? Right?!
Well, if you haven't been down that mermaid-wavy path of hair photos, allow me to be of assistance. Now, for your obsessing pleasure, I present to you a definitive ranking of every Kardashian (and yes, I'm counting the Jenners in this countdown) hairstyle ever (or at least every style with photographic evidence) ranked from meh to absolutely amazing. While the signature Kardashian style is long, brown, and perfectly curled, they've branched out a bunch, especially in the past year. From major ombre 'dos to cringe-worthy 80s don'ts, America's most talked about family proves that when it comes to their hair (much like their personal lives), there's not much they haven't tried.
81. Khloe's Bad Teenage Blonde
In this Instagram #tbt photo, Khloe rocks two-tone aviator shades, a white tracksuit, and a majorly bad dye job. Despite the teenage hair faux pas, the fact that she can make fun of herself is why she may be everybody's favorite Kardashian.
80. Kris's Bowl Cut
It may have been the 80s, but we're still not sure that excuses this schoolboy haircut.
79. Kim's Bleached Eyebrows
It may not have been the hair on her head, but Kim's bleached eyebrows were definitely a questionable hair choice. We're glad this look was just for a photoshoot.
78. Bruce's Bleached Blonde Surfer Style
Bruce's over-tanned skin and messy blonde hair seemed like he was desperately trying to look younger… and makes me kinda uncomfortable.
77. Kim's Scrunched Curls
This textured style made Kim look like she spent way too much time with the wave attachment on her straightener (and it also kind of makes me think of the salsa dancer emoji).
76. Kourtney's Cutesy Bob
In the mid-2000s, Kourtney chopped her long locks into a shoulder-length bob. Although she jumped on the "lob" trend before it was popular, the flipped-out ends make this style look way too matronly.
75. Kris's '80s Perm
Just like many of our own mothers, Kris fell victim to the dreaded frizzy, too-tight perms that were so popular in the '80s.
74. Kendall's Krimped Look
This photo is proof that no girl escaped her teenage years without a few run-ins with the crimping iron.
73. Kris's Soccer Mom Haircut
If you feel like this haircut is the perfect example of what you told your hairstylist not to do when you went in for a trendy lob, you're not alone.
72. Kendall's Ramones-Inspired Marc Jacobs Hair
When she walked in Marc Jacobs' Spring 2015 show at 2014's New York Fashion Week, Kendall Jenner ditched her signature long Kardashian waves in favor of something much more punk rock.
71. Kim's Pre-Blonde
During 2015 Paris Fashion Week, Kim was in the midst of transitioning to full-on white-blonde. She was photographed with this yellowish hue before stepping out with the end result — and let's just say I'm glad that this look was only temporary.
70. Bruce's Middle Part
This long, reddish 'do with flipped out ends and a middle part definitely wasn't one of Bruce's most flattering looks.
69. Khloe's Cornrows
Woof.
68. Kris's Mop-Top
We're not sure what Kris was thinking with this top-heavy 'do, but it reminds me more of a little boy's bowl cut than her usual chic style.
67. Robert Kardashian's Salt And Pepper Slick-Back
The Kardashian clan's original patriarch had a pretty recognizable 'do in his own right. During the infamous OJ Simpson trial, Robert Kardashian had an intensely hairsprayed, slicked-back look with a Cruella Deville-style stripe of grey — likely brought on by the stress of all that negative media attention.
66. Bruce's Ponytail
Bruce's Ponytail: A dark, dark time in Kardashian/Jenner history.
65. Khloe's Totally '90s Ringlets
Khloe's too-tight ringlets remind us of my own preteen, Annie-style misadventures right after purchasing my first 1/2-inch curling iron — and it's not a pretty memory.
64. Kim's Bombshell Blonde
While her current white-blonde look seems hip and edgy, this warmer blonde style just looked like a bad frosted dye job.
63. Rob's Boy Band Spikes
In his younger years, Rob was known for donning gelled, sky-high spikes that made him look more like a lost member of 'NSYNC than a Kardashian. It wasn't a terrible look (hey, it was the early 2000s), but I'm glad that he's cut back on the product in recent years.
62. Kendall And Kylie's Twinning Tresses
For a while there, Kendall and Kylie's styles intersected so much that they almost looked like twins. Both of them wore their hair long, dark, and with a sharp middle part.
61. Khloe's Brunette Side Bangs
This cut is flattering, but the darker look is a little too harsh for KoKo.
60. Kim's Blonde Wig(s)
Before she actually went blonde, Kim was known to play dress up with the occasional blonde wig. I kind of like this Khaleesi-esque look on the naturally brunette beauty.
59. Khloe's Middle Part
As much as we've all tried (at one time or another) to pull off a '70s-style middle part, Khloe proves that this style just isn't for everyone.
58. Kim's Malibu Barbie Locks
With her long blowout, warm, honey highlights and over-tanned skin, Kim was almost unrecognizable for a period in the mid-2000s. She looked beautiful, but the strange, parallel universe version of herself was a bit too much for my taste.
57. Kylie's Dreadlocks
Kylie, you should know better.
56. Kourtney's Curly Locks
Although we love these natural looks on Kourtney, this curly hairdo was a bit much.
55. Khloe's Foray Into Red
For a few minutes there, the outspoken Kardashian experimented with long, red locks. It fit her fiery personality, but I'm still not totally sold.
54. Kim's Long Layers
Back when she was still BFFs with Paris Hilton, Kim wore her hair in long, face-framing layers, with no sign of her now-usual thick extensions.
53. Bruce's Olympics Hair
Whatever, guys. I think this is fantastic.
52. Kim's Ultra Straight Locks
Although the color is very natural and pretty, I don't exactly love this super-straight, somewhat flat look on Kim.
51. Scott's Flow
If this hairstyle brings back bad memories of that LAX bro boyfriend that you had back in college, you're not alone.
50. Khloe's Slick Style
This slicked-back look may work at times, but Khloe's version just looked like when you really push your dry shampoo to the limit after a few days without washing.
49. Kylie's Crazy Pink
Before she chopped her hair into her now-signature bob, teenage Kylie rocked a playful pink dye job against her long, brunette locks. While Kylie likely went to pricey L.A. salon and you may have used Kool Aid or highlighter markers to get this look, it's still basically the hairstyle that every teenage girl dreams of.
48. Kendall's Dark, Mid-Length Cut
As Kendall comes into her own unique style, we love watching the slight differences that she makes to her impossibly shiny, black-brown locks. This textured, mid-length look with a sleek middle part is one of her edgiest styles.
47. Kim's Silvery Blonde
While she never tried out a trendy gray shade (not yet, anyway), Kim did dip a toe into the world of silvery hair with this cool-toned blonde.
46. Kourtney's Hippie-Chic Twists
Originally made popular by Lauren Conrad back in her L.C. days, these cute boho twists with a '70s-style middle part are now one of Kourtney's signature looks. They're much more casual than the usual glammed-up Kardashian hairstyles, which really suits Kourtney's laid-back style.
45. Kim's Audrey Hepburn Style
With the help of blunt, clip-on bangs, Kim channeled Audrey Hepburn's iconic Sabrina movie look.
44. Kylie's Blue-Green Dip-Dye
Some loved it and some hated it, but I have to commend Kylie's turquoise tips for setting her apart from her family's usual glam style.
43. Khloe's Smooth, Straight Brunette
While I prefer Khloe with lighter locks, I couldn't hate on this warm, rich brown shade that's a bit more toned down than the signature Kardashian extensions.
42. Kim's Break-the-Internet Blonde
When Kim unveiled her edgy, white-blonde 'do at Paris Fashion Week in 2015, the photos were almost as shocking as her now-infamous Paper magazine spread. While I prefer her naturally gorgeous brunette locks, Kim's bleached look is ultra high fashion, entirely unexpected, and pretty damn cool.
41. Kendall and Kylie's Pre-Teen Brunette Style
How cute are Kendall and Kylie with their natural brunette locks? I love admiring their glammed-up looks, but the younger Jenner sisters are too precious.
40. Rob's Buzz Cut
When he dated Adrienne Bailon, Rob wore his hair short in a buzz cut that looked kind of cute with his baby face.
39. Kourtney's Feminine Pompadour
Kourt has been known to rock the occasional suit on the red carpet, and she even takes the menswear-inspired look a step further with her own feminine take on the classic pompadour hairstyle.
38. Kylie's Natural Brunette Locks
Kylie's long, brown hair was pretty and natural in her teenage years, and I can't help but envy that Barbie-esque length.
37. Kim's Modern Bouffant
This retro-inspired hairstyle stands by the old saying, "The bigger the hair, the closer to heaven." Kim's no Southern belle, but I love her with this big hair look.
36. Kris's Short, Slick Style
Kris Jenner is a hairstyle icon for middle aged women everywhere. This impeccably cool slicked-back cut is a bit different from her usual pixie and side bags, but it's still just as flattering.
35. Rob's Dapper 'Do
This classic men's hairstyle is a vast improvement from Rob's somewhat sloppy styles of the past, and it marked the lone Kardashian brother's transition into a more mature look.
34. Kim's Glossy Black Waves
When Kim dated Reggie Bush, she wore her hair in long, shiny waves in her natural dark brunette color.
33. Kylie's Long Ombre
The Kardashian/Jenner clan's youngest daughter is also the most experimental when it comes to her hair, and this long ombre was one of her first forays into the world of hair color. Considering that most of my first dye jobs came from a box and likely involved a few tears, I'd say her's was a pretty big success.
32. Kris's Mom-Chic Pixie Cut
After a slew of bad '80s hairstyles during her youth, Kris finally settled on a long pixie cut that just screams, "I'm not like a regular mom, I'm a cool mom!" The Kardashian matriarch's hairstyle is age-appropriate while still looking impeccably stylish.
31. Kylie's Mid-Length Ombre
While Kylie's current blunt bob and colorful hue is a bit wilder and crazier than this look, she's often partial to mid-length hairstyles and ombre dye jobs.
30. Kourtney's Au Natural Straight Locks
Kourtney is by far the least adventurous Kardashian when it comes to her hair, which lands her smack dab in the middle of the family's hair rankings. Her long, straight locks are natural and pretty, but I can't help but wish that she would experiment a little bit more when it comes to her look.
29. Kim's Warm Blonde Ombre
It's pretty safe to say that Kim has tried out just about every shade of brown and blonde before going full-on platinum earlier this year. She's often partial to natural ombre highlights, and this warm blonde shade is one of her best.
28. Kourtney's Auburn Hue
While Kourtney normally sticks to her natural, dark brown shade, she experimented with a gorgeous reddish-brown hue that looked equally stunning.
27. Kylie's Black Bob
Young Kylie occasionally takes a walk on the wild side and wears a darker look that's a bit more goth-chic than Kardashian-glam. This dark bob was one of her best angsty hair hues.
26. Kris's Longer, Piecey 'Do
Although she's know for her signature pixie cut, Kris occasionally lets her hair grow out into a wispy, longer look that's flattering in an ultra feminine way.
25. Khloe's Boho Blonde
For a time, you could often find Khloe Kardashian walking the red carpet with long, loose waves, boho-inspired braids and a lighter blonde hue that made her look like a '70s starlet.
24. Kendall's Asymmetric Lob
Although her hair color tends to stay the same, Kendall is the queen of making slight yet memorable changes to her haircut. This asymmetric lob is just one flawless example.
23. Kylie's Blonde Wig
Kylie recently posted an Instagram photo of herself wearing a blonde color for an upcoming Love magazine shoot. While the temporary blonde was achieved with the help of a honey-hued wig, I adore her doe-eyed look and tousled waves.
22. Kim's Sexy Waves
Kim's pumped-up roots may be inspired by retro styles, but her face-framing layers kept things feeling current.
21. Kylie's Ombre-Bangs Combo
Right as the Jenner girls started to experiment with more grown-up looks, Kylie totally pulled off this gorgeous ombre 'do complete with a heavy fringe.
20. Khloe's Cool Ombre...
Khloe is no stranger to the ombre look, but this cooler-toned version looked stunning against her lighter skin and vampy lips.
19. …and Kim's Cool Ombre
Kim has had quite a few different ombre looks over the years, but this cooler brown-to-blonde version is one of my favorites.
18. Kylie's Long, Red Locks
The resident Kardashian/Jenner hair color wild child wore a subtle brown-to-red ombre look in her mid teens.
17. Scott's Beard
Scott may not seem like the beard type, but I definitely didn't hate this rugged look on him.
16. Kourtney's Bronde
Celebrities love the brunette-blonde "bronde" hue, and few pull it off better than Kourtney Kardashian.
15. Kendall's Sleek And Straight Style
Like most of the fashion world, we're of the mindset that there isn't much that Kendall Jenner can do wrong when it comes to fashion and beauty. Her impossibly shiny, waist-length straight locks are no different, and that middle part is equally enviable.
14. Kourtney's Top Knot(s)
The top knot may now be everyone's go-to hairdo on days when we just don't have time for a wash, but we all have Kourtney to thank for the chic, casual style. The eldest Kardashian was one of the first celebs to really wear this look on a regular basis, and she always pulled it off with major style.
13. Khloe's Blonde Look
Since she does have the lightest complexion of all of the sisters, it only makes sense that Khloe wears this light blonde shade so well.
12. Kim's Blunt Bangs
When Kim debuted blunt bangs during the height of KUWTK fame, girls everywhere rushed to their stylists to mimic the reality star's new look — and I can't say I blame them.
11. Kendall's Lighter Brown Hue
While Kendall is one of the only Kardashian/Jenner sisters who consistently sticks with her natural dark brown locks, she did go a bit lighter in recent years with warm, chestnut highlights throughout her dark hair.
10. Scott's Classic Coif
Lord Disick is known for his all-around look of luxury, especially when it comes to his perfectly coiffed, American Psycho-meets-GQ hair. Even if you love to hate Scott, this is the type of men's haircut that you beg your boyfriend to get.
9. Kim's Lob...
Kim was just one of dozens of female celebrities to experiment with a trendy lob cut this past year, and Hollywood's (current) favorite hairstyle again proved that it is flattering on just about everyone.
8. …And Kendall's Lob
Not to pin sister against sister, but when Kendall debuted her own lob via friend Justin Bieber's Instagram, I couldn't help but feel that her chic, tousled waves slightly edged out older sister Kim for best lob in the Kardashian/Jenner clan.
7. Kourtney's Full, Thick Waves
This retro-inspired coif and deep side part looks stunning on Kourtney, who often prefers a more natural look.
6. Kim's Side Bangs
Just like the rest of us, Kim knows about the universally flattering properties of side bangs.
5. Khloe's Long Ombre
No stranger to the dark-to-light ombre look, Khloe debuted an extra long version of the trendy style in the late 2000s.
4. Kim's Warm Reddish Brown
During her pregnancy, Kim wore a gorgeous mid-lenght lob with a subtle, reddish brown ombre that looked sleek, sophisticated and totally natural against her glowing skin.
3. Kourtney's Wispy Bangs
Her style is definitely the most accessible of all of the Kardashians, which is exactly why I loved this cute yet sophisticated look on the eldest sister. Kourtney's long, parted bangs and subtle brunette color worked perfectly with her laid-back, boho look.
2. Kim's Retro Glamour
In recent years, Kim started rocking long, loose waves that were much more sophisticated than the mermaid style of her early 20s. Her old-Hollywood hairstyles totally work with the rest of her bombshell look.
1. Kim, Kourtney and Khloe's Signature Kardashian Style
This is the look that started it all. Long, naturally wavy, full of rich brunette color (and probably a whole lot of extensions), the elder Kardashian girls' early-2000s hairstyles became their signature look, no matter how many dye jobs or hours in Jen Atkin's styling chair they've gone through since then.
