Here's some shocking news for fans of ABC's Shark Tank. Robert Herjavec and wife Diane Plese are divorcing after 25 years of marriage, TMZ reports. Herjavec released a statement saying that it had been a "terribly difficult year." With that said, it seems like the reality star, who will also be appearing on Season 20 of Dancing with the Stars , is choosing to remain positive and trying to stay strong.
Herjavec also said, "Human relationships are so difficult. I wish nothing but love and peace for our family as we move forward from this."
Herjavec and Plese married in 1990 and have three kids, daughters Caprice and Skye, and son Brendan. The two met at an eye appointment, because, yes, Plese was his optometrist. Herjavec was born in Yugoslavia (now Croatia) and became a millionaire thanks to being one of the first people in the world to sell an Internet firewall. Reportedly, he is worth $125 million. Wow. That's a lot of money.
The news might seem shocking to some, especially since Plese was a huge supporter of her husband on Twitter and always tweeting about the show. It's surprising to see two people who appear to be so in love split, especially when Plese said this about her soon-to-be ex, "He’s so excited about life. How can you not want to be with someone who is so happy and motivated?" Plus, 25 years is a long time to be with someone. But we shouldn't judge or make assumptions, because most of us don't know the reasoning for their separation or what it's like to have your marriage in the public eye.
That said, fans of Shark Tank will surely miss Herjavec mentioning his wife during product pitches, but undoubtedly would want the best for him and Plese at this time.
