Prada F/W '15 Looks Perfect For The Red Carpet
Sometimes Prada just has the coolest, kookiest dresses around. Sure, there are some misses (like Lupita Nyong'o's speakeasy fisherman's net or Lena Dunham's wacky upholstery-like Emmys gown), but even the stranger, less traditionally chic looks always manage to be exciting and interesting, which is what the brand does best. Besides, for every miss, there are hits galore — off the top of my head, there was Lupita's Oscar-winning Cinderella dress (still one of her best looks ever, and that's saying a lot considering all the glam gowns she wore this awards season), there was this jewel-encusted stunner Jessica Chastain wore on the Interstellar red carpet, and this sheer blue shirt dress Keira Knightley wore to promote Begin Again... the list goes on. Any way you cut it, Prada's got a lock on celebrity style, and the brand's latest Milan Fashion Week show is no exception — it was filled to the brim with adorably quirky (and exciting!) new looks, and I'm hoping we'll be seeing them all on the red carpet soon.
The whole runway show had such a fun and funky vibe, and the clothes were the most fun and funkiest of all: There were mixed prints (and textures) galore, and color blocking with an edgy-twee color palette. Let's take a look at the most red carpet-ready looks!
1. This Heartbreakingly Awesome Ensemble
Pepto Bismol-pink oversized collar? Pale blue angora sweater? Over the elbow gloves? All topped off by a hunter green leather dress? Absolutely amazing.
2, 3, and 4. These Cool Coats
Coolest coat trio ever.
5. This Gray and Chartreuse Dress
Very Elle Fanning, no?
6, 7, and 8. These Trendy Ensembles
It's kind of like a Wes Anderson girl band.
9 and 10. These Shift Dresses
How is it even physically possible to be this uniquely chic?
What an altogether amazing show — hopefully, we'll be seeing some of these dresses again very soon.
