'AHS' Actor Ben Woolf Has Died
UPDATE: Bustle reached out to Woolf's rep for comment, and immediately heard back. Michelle Henderson at Henderson Represents Inc., says: "We are absolutely heart broken over the loss of our client Ben Woolf. We have represented him for years and considered him a client and friend here at HRI Talent. He was kind, hardworking with a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed."
This is so, so sad. As TMZ reports, American Horror Story: Freak Show actor Ben Woolf has passed away. The TV actor, who also appeared on American Horror Story's first installment American Horror Story: Murder House as the Infantata in 2011, was struck in the head by a car mirror while walking in Los Angeles on Friday. The actor was hospitalized at Ceders Sinai Hospital and in critical condition until Saturday, when he reportedly stabilized. Despite the optimistic news, things took a turn for the worse, and the actor died of a stroke caused by his head injuries and passed away Monday afternoon.
Woolf's passing is both tragic and shocking, as his condition had seemingly gotten better over his hospital stay. No reports have indicated whether Woolf would have made an appearance on the fifth installment of American Horror Story, but it does seem that he had a work family with his fellow actors on the series. The actor's friends had hoped that they would be able to see Woolf in the hospital, including American Horror Story co-star Naomi Grossman, who told E! News that she and Woolf were "very close" and that she was "waiting... for any moment they're going to tell me [to] go visit [the hospital.]"
