Stephen Colbert's 'Colbeard' is Amazing

If you didn't already know, we are in the era of the beard. There are beard-covered mugs, hats with attached beards, and a bearded man every four feet across the country, pretty much. But here's the most exciting beard-related news I've heard in awhile: Stephen Colbert has a beard, and it is absolutely incredible.

As expected, Colbert's facial hair also has a name: Colbeard. Although the upcoming late night host is referring to it as his "time off beard," it's got me thinking that the comedian should maybe adopt this look for full-time wear. Unlike the sparse hipster beards that I see on a daily, Colbert's beard is full, silver, and luxurious. Thank goodness he didn't reach for the boxed beard dye, which believe or not, is actually a thing.

I am a huge lover of facial hair, so I don't know if everyone else feels the same way about it as I do. Personally, I think Colbert's new beard gives him a sophisticated and "wise old man" vibe, instead of the wholesome politician look he sported for years on The Colbert Report. Another note: Colbert should be super proud, because this little beard experiment is a sign that he is going to age very well.
