Breaking top model news: Karlie Kloss is leaving Victoria's Secret. After being one of their most famous angels since 2011, Kloss has announced that she's decided to turn in her wings. I guess it's better to leave while you're on top?
Kloss isn't quitting because she's over her stint with the world famous lingerie company. The model-turned-entreprenuer has decided to follow her dreams and get herself some education! That's right — Kloss will be attending NYU in the fall. Is there anything this girl can't do?
A source told People, "She’s got a busy but exciting year ahead and the decision came down to timing. She’ll be focusing on her modeling career, new business opportunities and NYU starting in the fall." Kloss went on to explain, “I’ll still be working full-time. I’m incredibly ambitious and have lots of goals within my career that I’m not slowing down on anytime soon."
The folks over at Victoria's Secret have nothing but kind words for Kloss' departure. Ed Razek, senior creative at VS, said in a statement, "Karlie is one of a kind, a very close friend, someone I truly admire and love. She is, without question, one of the best models ever. But she is an even better person. Her future is unlimited, and I am excited to see all the good she will do. Karlie Kloss will always be an Angel to me.” Kloss will be finishing her contract with the brand before permanently leaving.
Our next question: does this mean she'll be moving into her guest bedroom at bestie Taylor Swift's apartment or will Kloss be getting her own place? Better yet, will she be staying in the dorms with the rest of the students?! Only time (and her Instagram) will tell.
