On Friday night, Justin Bieber spent some quality time with the New York City Police Department. Before Beliebers get concerned, it's not what you think! This time it was actually for a good reason. When dining in a restaurant, Bieber bought dinner for nearby NYPD officers, according to TMZ. Here's what went down:
Bieber was eating at the Comfort Diner in NYC when he noticed a few officers eating next to him ... so when it came time to pay up, Justin coughed up the dough for their tab -- around $200.
Aww, that's super sweet! He didn't have to do that, but it shows he's a nice guy deep down. Maybe this means 2015 is the year that Bieber actually changes his ways. After all, Bieber recently apologized to his fans for his behavior over the past few years, claiming he's not really as arrogant as he's "pretended" to be. In his Instagram apology video, he said:
I really want people to know how much I care, how much I care about people. And how I'm not that person to say, 'I don't give a f—.' I'm not that kid. I'm a person who genuinely cares.
Looks like he's really following through! And I don't doubt that Bieber has always cared about other people. His good deeds just tend to be overshadowed by the bad ones (egging his neighbor's house, getting a DUI, and peeing in a bucket while cursing Bill Clinton, just to name a few).
Since Bieber's antics tend to get him in trouble, it'd be nice if he keeps up this trend of only seeing the police for positive reasons. He even posed for a picture with the officers.
Not only did he share the photo, but he also posted this tweet:
Somebody get this boy an "I <3 NY" t-shirt, stat!
All sarcasm aside, it's great to see J. Biebs showing his support for the NYPD. And hopefully he only makes headlines with good news from now on. Hey, anything is possible, right?
