10 Reasons Salvador Perez Should Have His Own Line
Okay, where is Salvador Perez' Mindy Project-inspired fashion line? I think we can all agree up front that Dr. Mindy Lahiri is one of the best-dressed characters on TV — she gives everyone from the consummately professionally-attired Olivia Pope to the whimsically-dressed grade school vice principal Jessica Day to the moneyed fashion queen bee Blair Waldorf (and everyone in between) a run for their money. And if you watch The Mindy Project, you know that the creme de la creme of all of her best outfits are the ensembles are specially created by Perez — and that's no mean feat, considering the fact that Mindy's often attired in high-end designers like Dolce & Gabbana and No. 21.
He's also been known to design for Kaling herself, to similarly fabulous effect — recently, he designed her dress for Glamour's Women of the Year Awards, and that '60s-inspired sparkly periwinkle mini was one of her best looks to date. With all that in mind, I think he should take a page out of Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant and Scandal costume designer Lyn Paolo and do a capsule collection. Sure, he has his ultra-fab BaubleBar collaboration, but we need some clothes from the man, stat — and here are 10 reasons why:
1. This Plaid Dress
Teal plaid and rainbow rhinestones? Count me in.
2. This Neon Houndstooth Coat
Kaling called her Super Bowl commercial number "a great look to accost Matt Damon in," and it totally is.
3. This Shocking Pink Showstopper

4. This Christmas Party Dress
Yuletide cheer done right.
5. This Glamour-ous Dress

6. This Other Houndstooth Coat

7. This Pink Pencil Skirt

8. This Green Suit
