Ryan Gosling's 'Lost River' Trailer Is Here
A certain international heartthrob tweeted his first tweet in over a year Wednesday, and he did it so that we'd see a certain trailer: Yep, Ryan Gosling directorial debut Lost River has an actual trailer you can actually watch now. Lost River may not be getting a wide release in theaters, but it'll be hitting VOD on the same day it starts screening in theaters in New York and Los Angeles, so don't worry about how you'll be seeing it. But, what's the verdict on the first trailer?
Lost River, it should be noted, is pretty far removed from, say, The Notebook — in fact, it looks pretty trippy. The cast includes Mad Men star Christina Hendricks, Doctor Who's Matt Smith, Saoirse Ronan, and Agents Of SHIELD's Ian De Caestecker (Fitz!), as well as a special appearance by Gosling's real-life love/mother-of-his-child Eva Mendes.
As for the plot, IMDb describes it thusly:
A single mother is swept into a dark underworld, while her teenage son discovers a road that leads him to a secret underwater town.
Your guess is as good as mine.
The film will be available for viewing come April 10. Check the trailer below.
