Johnny & Amber's Wedding Location Is Perfect
Well, this is one way to say, "Welcome to the Caribbean!" Reportedly, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard will marry on the weekend of Feb. 7-8 on a private island in the Bahamas that he purchased back in 2004. Once you get past the fact that Depp is rich enough to own an entire island, you realize that this is actually the most fitting location for the actor to marry his lady friend.
Depp, who has been dating Heard since 2012, chose the best place to reportedly tie the knot since it is the perfect mixture of extravagant and low-key. After all, no one is likely to drop in unexpectedly, like pesky paparazzi. But at the same time, it's a private island, so there's sure to be a beautiful and luxurious setting to complement their happy day. The weather will probably be perfect. And, of course, since Depp is well known for his role as Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean, his past work makes the location even more appropriate.
Let's take a look at all the reasons why the private island in the Bahamas is the perfect place for these two to get hitched, illustrated by GIFs from Depp's much beloved role in Pirates.
Privacy
When you have the luxury to own a private island, you also have the luxury to control who does and who does not see the glamorous events that happen there. Some of these events, like weddings, are considered to be more private than others, so it definitely makes sense that Depp and Heard would want to keep tying the knot private to the outside world. It is their special day, after all, not the paparazzi's.
Extravagance
Also going along with a private island — besides the luxury of keeping your private life completely private — is a level of extravagance that many people can only dream of. Depp and Heard will have the chance to be in control of what type of wedding they will have, what designers they will wear, and of course, what kind of party they will have. I have a hunch that it will be a fabulous party — which hopefully will have some tropical drinks involved (ahem, rum anyone?).
Beautiful Setting
Let's face it, the weather will probably be perfect for the big day. And apart from the sunshine, the happy couple will probably have a wonderful view of the ocean, sand, and palm trees while they exchange vows. It looks like sometimes, you really can have it all!
Dedication To Family
If Depp does get married on the island, he will be getting hitched on land that has beaches named after his children, Lily-Rose, 15, and Jack, 12. It's really sweet to know that he was keeping them on his mind when he got the island and will still have them in mind when he shares his happy day.
And there you have it. Congratulations to the happy couple if they do end up tying the knot on the private island. Doesn't sound like a bad deal at all, does it?
