15 Things That Must've Inspired Katy's Performace

by Mallory Carra

Pop singer Katy Perry promised to deliver a Super Bowl Halftime performance to remember and boy did she. Her concert featured so many sights that have stuck with us through the second half of the football game and probably will stay with us for however long the Internet's attention span is these days. Katy Perry's wild halftime show famously featured dancing sharks, dancing surfboards, dancing beach balls, a gigantic lion, a fire dress, ice/robot people?, and the NBC "More You Know" Star, along with special guest artists Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliott. Of course, the performance was very Katy Perry, if you're familiar with her music videos, but the Internet couldn't help but notice some of the other things that the quirky concert could've been "inspired by."

Perry realized that some of the Super Bowl audience could be seeing her for the first time — and she definitely made it memorable. I mean, smiling and dancing palm trees do have that effect on people. "I just have heard so many stories along the way of those songs helping people and how they have adopted them as their inspiration," Perry told ABC News last week. "So I just feel like in some ways it's a spiritual experience for me, a little bit."

So, here are some things that Twitter thought could've totally inspired this Perry "spiritual experience."
