Recently Ariana Grande was sorted into Gryffindor... sort of! The singer isn't actually a witch. Instead, Tom Felton (aka Draco Malfoy) was asked which Harry Potter House Grande belonged in. It turns out Felton's guess was inaccurate, since Pottermore — the super official Harry Potter sorting website — placed Grande in Slytherin. While which house she belongs in is still up in the air, it looks like she's sticking with a Harry Potter theme lately. Ariana Grande named her new dog Sirius Black, after the J.K. Rowling character.
It seems like every other day there's a new furry pup joining the Grande family, or as she calls it "the puppy posse." If my count is correct, Sirius makes six! Grande has five other dogs, and yes, they're all equally adorable. While she once claimed her dog Ophelia isn't named after the Shakespeare character, I'd say it's a safe bet that Sirius Black is a tribute to Harry Potter. Grande is a self-proclaimed HP fan. It's sort of like how Taylor Swift names her cats after her fave TV characters. (Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson, of course!)
While Sirius just joined the Grande family, he's already had quite an eventful few days. According to the singer, her new pup has been super busy — and super loved. He even had his first airplane ride! Wow, being a dog sounds really ruff, huh? But also, apparently he has a bad case of puppy breath. Poor thing!
