GOP Congressmen Continue to Say Ridiculous Things

In what has to be the most quotable moment from the House's Tuesday debate on anti-abortion bill HR 1797 that would ban abortion after 20 weeks, Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX) said that abortion after 15 weeks should be illegal. Why? Because of fetal masturbation.

“Watch a sonogram of a 15-week baby, and they have movements that are purposeful,” Burgess, a former gynecologist, said. “They stroke their face. If they’re a male baby, they may have their hand between their legs. If they feel pleasure, why is it so hard to believe that they could feel pain?”
