Well, this was bound to happen! While celeb stylist, designer, and all around fashion mogul Rachel Zoe has yet to birth a girl to whom she could bequeath both her design empire and her enviable closet, she does have two little boys. Naturally, she knows a thing or two about keeping it stylish during pregnancy, and now she wants to help you do the same. Rachel Zoe is launching a maternity collection with A Pea in the Pod, WWD reports! Landing in March, this collection is exactly what you'd expect from Zoe — a mega glam, boho chic range, full of floor-skimming print maxis, loose tunics, and more. No surprises here and that's not a bad thing, either.
Zoe's maternity wear is loose, comfy, but stylish and crazy wearable. "As a mother of two young boys, I understand how important it is to look and feel your best while you’re expecting and to never sacrifice style for comfort," Zoe told WWD.
You can certainly see RZ's perspective in the pieces, because of course you can. Zoe's point of view is very specific and it shows up not only in her own wardrobe, but in her designs and in the outfits of those she dresses. Prior to their long-ago falling out, Zoe was credited with making over Nicole Richie and popularizing her signature boho glam look, which unsurprisingly mirrored Zoe's own personal style ethos.
If there is anything we can expect in life, besides things like tax bills, lots of pedestrians on NYC streets, kopious amounts of kontoured Kardashian selfies, and, you know, the sun to set daily, it's that Zoe will never, ever look frumpy and that she will never swap out style for sweats, and that she will do her best to make sure her customers experience the samesies.
I admit that I prefer the style of Mandana Dayani, who is Zoe's right hand in her company and pictured below. But if I had a bun in my oven, I'd wear any of these styles.
Prices run from $98 to $248 and will retail at select Destination Maternity and Macy's locations, as well as online.
What a glam "event" option in a great hue!
Maxis are RZ's thing and this one is so pretty, preggers or not!
Expectant moms can still show off their gams in this mini.
Stretchy stripes? Okay!
This jacket would look amaze thrown over any of the dresses or with any of the pants in the collection, which you can see below!
The devil is in the details, like these zippered pants.
Only R. Zoe would think of bell bottom prego pants! Love 'em.
How utterly Taylor Swift.
How about a crisp, white topper?
My only complaint? Where's the fur shrug? I would have expected a least one furry, and hopefully faux, luxe piece in the collection. I was also expecting a fringe-y vest of some sort. Maybe next season?
