'Insurgent' Will Leave You Totally Stunned

by Martha Sorren

We're only a little more than a month away from the next movie in the Divergent series, and that means that marketing efforts are really ramping up. But, luckily, that's amazing for fans of the series because the new Insurgent trailer is getting its own Super Bowl spot this Sunday. On the off-chance that you don't want to watch the game, though (don't worry, I'm right there with you), good news: You don't have to force yourself to watch the game just to see the clip, because MTV News has an exclusive look at the trailer ahead of time.

And seriously, let me tell you, it's so explosive that you won't be disappointed. Though its running time isn't even a minute long, boy, does it make those seconds count.

Though I won't spoil it all for you, here's what to expect when you hit play: It starts off with Shailene Woodley's character Tris in a glass box, being monitored by Kate Winslet's Jeanine (or, at least, a simulation of her). Enraged, Tris bursts through the glass in slow motion and attacks Jeanine. It's a pretty gratifying moment, both visually, and just as someone who can't stand the Insurgent villain. It's also a pretty fitting Super Bowl commercial, since it features Tris tackling someone. So, you know, A+ job on theme-ing the trailer, Lionsgate!

You can check it out during the pregame show on Sunday — or, of course, if you don't feel like waiting (because why would you?) you can watch MTV's clip of it here.
