Viewers have been waiting all season to get to the (potentially virgin) tent sex moment on The Bachelor . For weeks promos have been alluding to Chris Soules having sex in a tent, but that's totally not what actually went down. Virgin Ashley I. did climb into his tent in the middle of the night, but not for a hookup. In fact, she wanted to clarify that she's not a hookup girl. So contrary to what we were lead to believe, there was no Bachelor sex on the camping trip. You can blame those tricky video editors for planting that idea in your head.
The whole thing actually started when Ashley I. didn't get the group date rose and started to worry that Chris didn't know the real her: aka that she's a virgin. She decided to she needed a little more time with Chris and stole it in the middle of the night, waking Chris up for a meaningful chat.
"I've never had a boyfriend," Ashley I. informed a sleepy Chris. "I'm freaking innocent. I just want to make sure you, like, got me." Then, satisfied she conveyed to Chris that she was a virgin and rather inexperienced, she proceeded to kiss him for a little while.
Unfortunately, a sneak peek at the ending of the episode shows that Chris had no idea she was trying to tell him that, and it seems like he reacts pretty badly to the news that she's a virgin. I get that bringing that up can be a tricky topic, so I don't blame Ashley for dancing around the actual word when she tried to tell him. But maybe a midnight chat wasn't the best place for an important conversation like that. Chris seemed too out of it to understand what she was trying to say, and he was way too focused on making out with her. (He just loves to kiss, doesn't he?)
But the bottom line is that nothing went down in the tent in regards to sex, no matter what the editors wanted us to think. Everyone can calm down now. Tentgate was a nonstarter.
