Twiggy is Back in the Spotlight With L'Oreal
Before she sat on the panel of judges on America's Next Top Model, Twiggy was known for her doe-eyed lashes and bold pixie cut. Almost 50 years after her modeling heyday, Twiggy has signed on the new UK ambassador for L'Oreal Professionnel, proving she and her famous hair have still got what it takes to pose for the camera.
In an interview with Vogue, Twiggy admitted that her famous haircut started at the House of Leonard when she was a mere teen. She had long, blonde hair and actually drew on her lashes, which she later became famous for starting. When she first got to there, owner Leonard Lewis, asked her if she would be up for an experimental haircut. Fortunately, she was. A week later, Twiggy was named "The Face of '66" on the cover of Daily Express.
Daniel Galvin, who originally colored Twiggy's hair in 1966 for that famous shoot, also gave her a dye job for her L'Oreal Professionnel ambassador photo shoot. Twiggy told Vogue that it felt nice to see her career "come full circle."
So, how does modern day Twiggy take care of her locks? The former model revealed her favorite products from L'Oreal Professionnel, which are all from the Volumetry shampoos and conditioners collection. She also regularly gets her highlights done, using hair dyes from the line (although she's never given in to the dark highlight trend).
It's good to have you back, Twiggy!
