You'll Never Guess Who Introduced Miley & Patrick

As two young millionaires in love, Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger have about negative 15 cares in the world. But what circumstances led to these two entertainment industry kids to fuse hearts, bodies, and minds into one unit of famous person-progeny love? How did Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger meet? I'll give you a clue: someone whose name rhymes with "Shmelena Bomez" has something to do with it.

Well, technically, it started with Schwarzenegger candidly discussing his crush on Cyrus in a 2011 Details interview. At the time he was reportedly dating Tallulah Willis, the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, but wasn't shy about putting his own romantic dreams that didn't involve his own girlfriend on blast. Great guy! "My eye, though, it set on Miley," Schwarzenegger said while talking about the Hollywood girls he was into. It's also worth stating that he mentioned Selena Gomez as a "girl for the future" just before talking about Cyrus, for reasons that will become clear in a moment.

I'm not sure if Baby Terminator knew what he was doing, but Cyrus heard this not-so-subtle hint and took charge. How did she do this, pray tell? Well, she asked the "girl for the future" to hook her up. Reportedly, Cyrus asked Selena Gomez, a "mutual friend" of her's and Schwarzenegger, for his number. Then, she was like, "Let's go on a date, bro!"

Given that Gomez is mentioned, like, two sentences before Cyrus in the very interview that captured her attention, I'm guessing that this conversation went down in the following, super awkward way:

Miley: Are you gonna talk to him?

Selena: Yeah, well, no. I dunno. Maybe. Not if you want to, though...

Miley: I mean, if you want to, just say so. 'Cause I kinda want his number.

Selena: Of course! I totally won't be bothered if you talk to him.

Miley: Are you sure? 'Cause our friendship comes first...

Selena: So sure! You guys would be so cute together!

Miley: Thanks girl!

And the rest is history. Well, sorta.

After a bit of texting to and fro, Cyrus and Schwarzenegger went on a few dates. Judging from the fact that a source told E! News the pair has been "friends forever," I'm assuming that they stayed friends throughout Cyrus' engagement and breakup with Liam Hemsworth.

The duo re-connected in 2014 and took their relationship back to the romantic place from which it started. Now, the Miley-Patrick bond is so strong, that even their siblings are attracted to each other. Yay (???)!
