Coach, the long-running brand celebrated for its handbags and other accessories, continues to up its image game and increase its coolness factor with assistance from celebs. Coach has hired Chloe Grace Moretz and Kid Cudi to front its second "Dreamers" campaign, which features gorgeous black and white photos of the cute and stylish actress and the musician posing with an array of seriously lust-worthy leather bags in relaxed, spring-like atmospheres. Moretz and Cudi replace the Fall 2014 "Dreamers" campaign stars, which included Zoe Kravitz, who is Lenny's baby girl and a musician, as well as singer Banks, actress Odeya Rush, and actor Christopher Abbott.
The label has been undergoing a much-needed image overhaul and upgrade in recent seasons. Coach is definitely focusing on increasing its "hipness" these days and continues to infuse its advertising with smart celeb choices, such as a hip teen starlet and an in-demand artist, both of which are incredibly attractive.
Creative Director Stuart Vevers, who is pretty much the architect of the plan to revamp Coach's image, pointed to Moretz's "free-spirited attitude and spontaneity" as the reason for her selection, while Kid Cudi's "effortless ease and coolness could not better embody the spirit of the Spring '15 men's collection," according to WWD.
I can't disagree with that. Vevers campaign casting instincts are on point and he made a wise decision to associate these stars with the brand, which always seemed a bit "mature" to me. CGM, her leopard print coat, and her white bag come together to create a "Wow" fashion moment.
The ads will begin running in March. Coach has also commissioned traditional ads featuring models to run along with these awesome "Dreamers" spots.
Are you ready to, well, dream on and "Ooh!" and "Aah!" over more Chloe Grace Moretz x Kid Cudi x Coach? If you though Coach was a fuddy duddy brand, as I did (save for its boots) these ads just might blow your mind and change your opinion for good.
What a cute and summery tote! Could Moretz be any more adorable? No wonder Brooklyn Beckham is smitten.
Kid Cudi epitomizes easy-going, relaxed cool. And no, that's not a man purse or a "murse." You can carry a laptop or an iPad in that thing.
I would like to jack Moretz's furry coat and her crossbody.
She gets prettier and prettier with each image.
Once again, Coach has proven that its new take on cool is totally on point.
