Maybelline's New Face is Definitely Born With It

She was definitely born with it, but now it's at least a little bit Maybelline. Gigi Hadid is the cosmetic company's newest spokeswoman, and I can't think of a single person who could influence my makeup choices more than this gorgeous model/It Girl. Nice choice, Maybelline.

“Being a Maybelline New York spokesperson means more to me than anyone can imagine; it doesn’t seem real!" she says. "It’s the most incredible feeling and is a dream come true."

Gigi is joining the likes of Christy Turlington, Adriana Lima, Jourdan Dunn, and many other stunning ladies to star in campaigns for Maybelline. I'll be honest, I would have expected Gigi to be tapped by a makeup brand known for a more natural approach, like Almay or Bobbi Brown — I've always seen Maybelline as bold and outgoing, while Gigi's fresh Malibu spirit makes her seem like a good fit for a brand with a more laid-back feel. However, Gigi does ooze confidence and vibrance, which definitely fits in with the classic Maybelline image.

Congratulations to Gigi — I can't wait to see the campaign when it drops in October this year.
