These 2015 Golden Globes Gowns Are Pretty Obviously Inspired By Some Past Looks
If you're anything like me, then Golden Globes fashion is one of your favorite parts of award season. All of our fav celebrities from television and film are there, George Clooney is usually winning some sort of an award, and basically it just feels like a giant, sometimes awkward party. Plus: The fashion. Enough said. For this year's Golden Globes, there were some definite stand-out gowns but also some dresses that were reminiscent of, well... other things. Here are a few examples.

Michelle Williams
Williams wore Vera Wang for the 2006 Oscars and, well, it’s a moment that’s kind of hard to forget.
Laura Prepon
As much as we all love Orange is the New Black, it’s safe to say that Prepon may not be making the best dressed lists this year. But what else do you think when you see Prepon’s gown? Well…
Elvira
Enough said.
Salma Hayek
Salma Hayek always looks beautiful. That’s kind of just a fact, but — wait, haven’t we seen this dress before…?
Jennifer Lawrence
See what I mean?
Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lopez looks HOT. No ifs, ands, or buts about that. But something about her look seemed a little familiar…
Jennifer Lopez
Well, what can I say? The woman looks good in body-hugging, see-through sparkly things. Jennifer Lopez as inspired by Jennifer Lopez. More power to her.
Amal Clooney
Everyone is talking about those white gloves. But Amal wasn’t the only or first gal to sport this accessory…
Sarah Jessica Parker
Like I said.
Lorde
I love, love, loved this look from Lorde. However, you might remember a similar version of it on another star in the not-so-distant past…
Shailene Woodley
The whole women’s suit on the red carpet thing? Not that new. But it’s true that Lorde did really add a more formal spin to it compared to Shailene’s look.
Allison Williams
Whether you love or hate Williams’ look, it certainly makes a statement…
Tina Fey
And Tina Fey’s dress from the 2011 SAG awards made a similar statement, no?
