Who Did Emma Date Before Evan?

I've pretty much gotten over my adolescent jealousies of famous people, because I know they exist on a different plane than us normals, but there's just something about Emma Roberts that makes me green. Maybe it's because her aunt is Julia Roberts, maybe it's because she plays the resident villainess on American Horror Story, or maybe it's because Emma Roberts is engaged to Evan Peters, her AHS co-star and one of the only blondes on earth I find attractive.

Roberts and Peters have been dating since 2012, from what nosy sources can gather. They first met on the set of the film Adult World, where apparently Peters gave adorable Roberts the cold shoulder. As she told Chelsea Handler, the actor didn't talk to her for the entire duration of filming. Maybe he was just employing a classic sandbox tactic of being mean to a girl he was crushing on, or maybe he was just being a big dumb idiot like boys are wont to be.

In any case, Roberts was gracious enough to give Peters a second chance, and the two started dating and eventually became engaged! Their puppy love was so strong that even their AHS costars were irked by their constant on-set make-outs. These are two people under the age of 30 who will probably have Kathy Bates at their wedding, so just take me now.

But Roberts has a dating history, just like Evan Peters does. His roster is primarily actresses, but who did his beloved betrothed date before him? Roberts also likes 'em famous, but she's thrown some athletes in the mix along with actors.

Chord Overstreet

Just before Roberts and Peters began their romance, the actress was dating Chord Overstreet from Glee. According to the Daily Mail, the two went splitsville for keeps in the summer of 2012, a year after they met in 2011 at Coachella. It seems like they were a volatile couple, on-again-off-again and always arguing. Maybe it's because the relationships started in the sweaty glare of Indio, California among headdresses and flower-crowned teens never last. Maybe it's because his name is Chord. Evan Peters also met a former girlfriend at Coachella in 2010 — Pixie Geldof, and they only stayed together about a year. Looks like 12 months is the expiration date on music fest trysts.

Dathan Kuppin

At the ripe old age of 18, Roberts met Dathan Kuppin, a tennis player from UCLA. They were spotted occasionally out together, eating dinners and the like. The two stayed together until 2011. Maybe it was just zero love (forgive me, there are so few opportunities to make tennis puns).

Ryan Sheckler

Roberts dated pro-bro and pro-skateboarder Ryan Sheckler for a hot minute, for five months between 2008 and 2009. He was apparently in a low-key love triangle with Roberts and AJ Michalka, according to Crushable. But isn't that always the way with young love — full of soap opera drama?

Alex Pettyfer

Even though Roberts and Peters are a match made in horror story heaven, Alex Pettyfer was her first true love and I'm a little sad they split. If the 24-year-old British actor looks familiar, it's because he played the lead in Magic Mike, one of the most beautiful films of our time. Pettyfer and Roberts met on the set of Wild Child in 2007, and though they were only together for a year, they were pretty wildly in love. So much so that Pettyfer got Roberts' initials tattooed on his finger, which he says he stands by: "I got a girl’s name tattooed on my ring finger because I was in love. We’ve broken up, but I don’t live in regret."
