Old Couple Dancing to Bob Marley Is So Impressive

This video of a couple dancing to Bob Marley is so happy. I would come up with more interesting adjectives to describe it, but "happy" is by far the most fitting for what this video is. Keone and Mariel Madrid, instructors at Urban Dance Camp, turn out an uplifting performance as an elderly couple strutting their stuff to Bob Marley’s iconic 1978 hit, “Is This Love?” The Madrids are not nearly as old as they appear in the video (further evidence that make-up, posture, and waistband height count for a lot), but they brilliantly mimic the postures and facial expressions of elderly people—who happen to have a spring in their steps. The dance is a reminder that love is not reserved solely for the young and firm of flesh—old people feel the love, too!

So take a break from the harrowing and completely depressing news of the day, and let yourself sway along to the music. As you watch the video, hum along to Mr. Marley’s lyrics and think about some of the simple gifts we share:
