It's the Great Pumpkin Roundup, Charlie Brown! Here are my favorite ways to eat the squash.

Pumpkin Bread at S-bucks
Starbucks's pumpkin bread is moist and wholesome. Many autumnal pastries err in the direction of sickly sweetness, but this glaze-free bread is perfectly spicy and seasonal, and sunflower seeds add crunch. It is basically a slice of cake but eating it for breakfast is tooootally ok.

Pumpkin Flavored Coffee
If you choose a pumpkin spiced latte, the syrup makes or breaks the beverage. I've found the Starbucks version to taste more like a candle than a seasonal beverage. Plus, it was more than $4 — overpriced and weirdly spiced?! I call for a boycott. The Keurig option is more subtle, with minimal candliciousness.

Pumpkin Pie
This dessert is a substance unto itself, like Jell-o or Flubber. Pumpkin pie is best when the crust is flaky and the texture of the filling is moist but semi-firm. This isn't just for Thanksgiving, people — I advocate for year-round pumpkin pie availability.

Pumpkin Seeds
Toasted, salted, amazing; pumpkin seeds are crack. You can also call them pepitas, and then they sound exotic!

Pumpkin-filled Pasta
Because of the similar spices used in each, pumpkin-filled pasta is basically interchangeable with butternut squash-filled pasta, and you can eat the latter while still feeling seasonally appropriate.

Pumpkin Ale
Is there anything more worthy of praise? It's like alcohol made of pie. My favorites are Smuttynose and Magic Hat, though Southern Tier claims theirs is the Pumking.
